SAN RAFAEL, CA, August 02, 2009 /Dating - Singles PR News/ -- CHEMISTRY OF LOVE KEYNOTES SINGLES EXTRAVAGANZA

Single professionals of all ages are invited to meet new friends at Singles Extravaganza, Friday, September 11, 2009, at the Clarion Hotel SFO, 401 E Millbrae Avenue, Millbrae, CA.

SUSAN KUCHINSKAS, author of the newly released The Chemistry of Connection: How the oxytocin response can help you find trust, intimacy, and love (New Harbinger Publications, 2009) will deliver the Keynote Address on "The Chemistry of Love."

"OXYTOCIN, also known as The Cuddle Hormone, is nature's love drug," says Ms Kuchinskas. "The new science of love has found that this chemical activates the brain's connection circuits. It is the key to life's happiest emotions: love, trust, and generosity. But research also shows that we're not born with the ability to love. The oxytocin response only develops in the first few months of life, and only if we get the right kind of care and nurturing. During this critical period, many things can inhibit or twist what should be a natural response to physical intimacy. If the oxytocin response doesn't develop in a healthy way, that person may spend his or her whole life alone—or in abusive or unsatisfying relationships.

"The most exciting research demonstrates it's possible to alter the oxytocin response at any age," Ms Kuchinskas says. "You can break the chains of failed romance and learn to fall in love forever."

After many failed relationships, Susan Kuchinskas found lasting love in her early 40s. She used her 20 years of experience as a journalist to find out why. The Chemistry of Connection is the result of that quest. Susan has published thousands of articles on science, technology and culture. She writes the "Mind Matters" column for WebMD. She continues to track research and news about oxytocin in her blog, hugthemonkey.com, which is now recognized as one of the most authoritative sources for information on oxytocin on the web. Susan Kuchinskas is available to the news media by calling 510-644-2612 or emailing susan@kuchinskas.com. Her website is www.chemistryofconnection.com.
