Cougar Cruise Banned in Australia
We are shocked that all three major cruise lines in Australia have rejected our request for an Australian Cougar Cruise.
SAN RAFAEL, CA, January 21, 2010 /Dating - Singles PR News/ -- "The Double Standard apparently is alive and well in Australia," says Rich Gosse, Executive Producer of www.cougarevents.com. "While it is perfectly acceptable for middle-aged men to date women their daughter's age, women don't have the same privilege. After the tremendous success of the world's first International Cougar Cruise, we were excited about bringing this concept to Australia. We are shocked that all three major cruise lines in Australia have rejected our request for an Australian Cougar Cruise. If there had been problems on the first Cougar Cruise (December, 2009, from the USA to Mexico), we would understand being banned. But hundreds of our cougars and cubs onboard were well-behaved, and there were absolutely no problems. Why would all three Australian cruise lines ban us?
"The Australian Cougar Cruise was intended to be the Grand Prize for the winners of the titles of Miss Cougar Sydney and Miss Cougar Melbourne at the Sydney Cougar Convention (Friday, 12 February) and Melbourne Cougar Convention (Saturday, 20 February). Cubs aboard the Australian Cougar Cruise were going to select the winner of the title of Miss Cougar Australia during the cruise. I guess it's back to the drawing board.
"2009 was The Year of the Cougar, according to Newsweek's cover story," says Mr. Gosse. "We expect 2010 to be more of the same. We already have two more International Cougar Cruises scheduled in the USA, to the Mexican Riviera, May 16-23, 2010, and to the Bahamas, December 3-6, 2010. Alas, there won't be an Australian Cougar Cruise, unless a willing cruise operator can be found.
The Cougar Cruises and Conventions are based on Valerie Gibson's Cougar: A Guide for Older Women Dating Younger Men. According to Ms. Gibson, "a cougar is the new breed of single, older woman—confident, sophisticated, desirable, and sexy. She knows exactly what she wants. What she doesn't want is children, cohabitation, or commitment."

Supposedly every male is only attracted to nubile 20 year olds found in the centerfolds of men's magazines. The truth is that there are many millions of men who find older women attractive, and we will prove it at our Conventions and aboard the Cougar Cruises!"
